The stand is perfect for a ust projector. I did not install the steel handle because it could be dangerous for kids. But it is easy to open without the handle.
It looks really nice I love it, not best quality but for this price it's great! Seems very strong, will see how long it will last. Not that hard to assemble. About an hour. Delivery was little longer than initially said.
the finish looks like real wood, but is paper thin. Small areas where the finish isn't perfect. The screw holes are covered with paper thin matching stickers. Don't misplace the stickers because it will mess up the finish.

Best assembly instructions I've ever used. This TV stand has a low profile and sleek appearance with plenty of storage for DVDs. Great value.
The stand looks very nice and very solid once assembled. Assembling was not the breeze for me that other reviewers have found. First, it's heavy. It took two people to deliver, getting it off porch by myself required effort. I cannot see how one person could assemble, lifting to assemble needs two people unless you are a fit youngish man, which I am not. Second some of the predrilled holes especially for the door hinges were a little off. Probably the last piece of need to assemble furniture I purchase.
